We are not speaking hypothetically here: the site you are reading was re-platformed with an AI coding agent. So when a video promises “insanely beautiful websites with Claude Code,” we can say what is real about that claim and what is marketing.
What the agent genuinely nails
Structure, boilerplate, and the hundredth variation of a component, the agent is faster and more consistent than a person, and it does not get bored on the tedious parts. Given a clear design system, it will apply it accurately across dozens of files without drift. That part of the promise is true, and it is a real accelerant.
Where human taste is still the bottleneck
What the agent cannot do is decide what “beautiful” means. It has no opinion about whether the gold thread should appear three times or thirty, whether the type should feel editorial or corporate, or when restraint beats another animation. Point it at a vague goal and you get competent, templated output, the exact “looks generated” feeling everyone is trying to escape. The quality came from making those calls ourselves and having the agent execute them, not from asking it to have taste.
The honest workflow
Decide the direction, encode it as a real system, then let the agent build against it, and watch it grow daily so you catch a wrong turn early, which is why we ship daily and make clients watch. That is the same division of labor behind everything in our solutions and the tools on our shelf: the machine does the volume, a person owns the judgment.
